Now it is Friday for all of us! YAY! I hope wherever you are, it is warm and sunny, and you didn’t get hit with the arctic freeze in my neck of the woods, leaving the temperature hovering right around the negative line. That’s a bad place to be…just above the line. This number needs to go UP. WAY, WAY, WAY UP. It is WAY too cold this early in the season. We have already lost 1 purple mitten, a knitted hat, and a teal sock with hearts on it. If found, please return to the address below.

This Fast Baby FoodE Friday puree can be made in under 5 minutes – booyah!

It also sort of looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream!

And don’t even think I wasn’t tempted to slightly freeze it and try to pass it off as ice cream to my toddler. Fortunately/Unfortunately, it doesn’t taste like mint chocolate chips.

This puree is sweet and fresh from the pears, while the kiwi adds a mild citrus flavor. The avocado brings body and fluff, as well as a good amount of creamy, lip-smacking fat.

This Avocado, Pear + Kiwi Baby Food is a naturally sweet puree that has a fun citrusy twist. Plus, it's made in less than 5 minutes and is freezer-friendly! Great for babies 6 months and older, stage 2 baby food.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 avocado, peeled
  • 1/2 ripe pear, peeled
  • 2 kiwis, peeled

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients into blender and puree for 1 minutes until creamy and smooth. If needed, add water, fresh breastmilk, or formula in 1 tablespoon increments until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Serve or freeze right away.

Notes

Age: 6+ months
Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 4 months (this and this are my favorite freezer storage containers). Due to the avocado, the puree might turn a slight brown color when frozen. Freeze immediately to reduce this discoloring.
