Roasted Banana + Apple with Cinnamon Baby Food Puree

This is hands down my favorite baby food puree for when you and your baby need a special little bite of goodness. So don’t ask me why it has taken me this long to share it with you, but I will be happy to stick out my hand for you to gently smack because I am sure I deserve it.

There is just something amazing that happens when you roast bananas and apples together that are sprinkled with a fair amount of cinnamon.

Magic. Pure and simple magic.

I am not going to lie when I tell you that this tastes like warm apple pie, without any of the quilt or added ingredients. Serve it warm, by itself or with a dense greek yogurt. But let me warn you that once you start, you will not be able to put down the spoon. It is really that good.

Nutritional information about this baby food puree.

But roasting bananas with apples is just the start. A humble beginning, because once you start with this recipe you will realize that the options of pure puree bliss are endless. You can toss in blueberries, strawberries, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums or really any other delicious fruit you have on hand. I would say that you can mix in some yummy vegetables as well, but really this puree is meant to act like a little dessert for your little one. So enjoy it’s sweet magic as is and leave the veggies for another dish.
