Banana, Tofu + Pear Baby Food Puree

This somewhat pale puree might look meek but don’t let it fool you, it not only tastes like a banana milkshake but it is chalk full of healthy goodness for your little one.

This puree is made by blending tofu, ripe pears and a banana until it is super smooth and creamy. I would recommend adding in a pinch of cinnamon, but that is totally up to you.

This Banana, Tofu, and Pear Baby Food Puree may look meek, but its delicious flavor is anything but. Made by under 5 minutes and bursting with banana milkshake flavor, your baby is going to love this puree. Great for 6+ months—stage 2 baby food.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup tofu (see notes below)
  • 1 pear, peeled, cored and roughly chopped

Instructions

  • Place the tofu on a cutting board and slightly press with a paper towel or dishtowel to get any extra water out. Roughly cube and add to a blender or food processor.
  • Add the pear and banana into the blender or food processor. Puree the ingredients for 1-2 minutes or until completely smooth, adding in water in 1/4 cup increments if needed.

Notes

Age: 6+ months
Yield: 10 ounces
Note on Tofu: I would recommend purchasing organic and sprouted firm tofu for this recipes. Tofu can be ultra-processed and spouted tofu is easier on baby’s delicate digestion.
Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 4 months (this and this are my favorite freezer storage containers).
