If your have a peanut allergy, you can sub in almond or seed butter into this recipe for similar results.

Ingredients 

Tropical Green Smoothie

  • FOR FREEZER PACK
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks, fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 banana, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • FOR SMOOTHIE
  • 1 cup milk of choice (regular, almond, hemp, oat, etc)
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (omit for babies under 1 year of age)

Peanut Butter Spinach Smoothie

  • FOR FREEZER PACK
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped
  • 1 banana, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (can use almond or seed butter)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp flax seeds (optional)
  • FOR SMOOTHIE
  • 1 cup milk of choice (regular, almond, hemp, oat, etc)
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (omit for babies under 1 year of age)

Peachy Kale Smoothie

  • FOR FREEZER PACK
  • 1 cup kale, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peach slices
  • 1/2 banana, roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp hemp heart seeds (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • FOR SMOOTHIE
  • 1 cup milk (regular, almond, hemp, oat, etc)
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (omit for babies under 1 year of age)

Instructions 

To Make Freezer Packs

  • Place all of the ingredients listed in the FREEZER PACK section into a ziplock baggie or stasher bag. Press out all of the air and seal. On the outside of the bag make sure to label the smoothie flavor and what you need to add into the blender along with the smoothie contents. Freeze overnight or for up to 6 months.

To Make Smoothie

  • Take the frozen smoothie bag out the freezer and let sit on counter for 5-10 minutes. Then add all the contents of baggie to a blender as well as the milk and honey. Depending on how thin your little one likes their smoothies you may need to add a couple more tablespoons of milk to the smoothie while blending. Blend for 1-2 minutes on high speed until completely smooth.

Notes

On-The-Spot Smoothie Instructions: If you want the smoothie right now, add of the ingredients as well as 1/2 cup of ice cubes into a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately for best results.
Yield: 1 large adult or 2 small toddler size smoothies
Note on Milk: You can use regular, almond, soy, oat, ect. I used almond milk to make these smoothies.
