15 Red Baby Purees for a Healthy Heart

I am always a firm believer that above all else, baby food needs to taste amazing.

But as it turns out, good tasting food is also healthy food.

That’s right, all of those red purees pictures above are in fact helping your baby build a strong and healthy heart, reduce inflammation, promote healthy skin and eyes, and contain a ton of anti-cancer properties.

Red purees got the looks and the talent:)

To find out how, let’s get a little technical for a minute.

Benefits of Red Purees (and foods):

Healthy Heart – red foods contain a ton of potassium, magnesium and sodium which help balance the body’s blood pressure and hydration which in turn promotes a healthy heart. Red foods also has an antioxidant called lycopene in it, which may help lower cholesterol and help reduce the risk of heart disease.
Reduce Inflammation – red foods contain anthocyanin, which are believed to improve blood pressure and inflammation throughout the body.
Promoting Healthy Skin and Eyes – red foods contain a great deal of Vitamins A & C, which are important for building healthy skin, eyes, hair and nails.
Anti-Cancer Properties – red foods contain an antioxidant know as lycopene, which has been shown to help protect against cancer. Antioxidants are known to help soak up the free radicals that turn into cancer.

It’s amazing what major benefits a little spoonful of red puree can have on baby’s health!
